location location location!

Its been a while since i've posted anything on here. My life seems like a million things are going on at the same time, and there is just not enough hours to accomplish everything like I would want. Tony still is loving Cars and keeping busy. Trokon is continuing to put in as many hours as possible at both of his jobs, Fairview and Home Care. I'm working at a new temp location, in Bloomington at a wonderful location! I'm thankful that Aerotek provides me jobs with such spectacular views!!! School is remaining to hang in there for both Trokon and I. It's always about this time during each semester that I get burned out and want to quit, but I don't I take a breather and keep going. The end seems so far away, but I keep telling myself it is soooooo worth it for me and my family.

This past weekend Trokon, Tony and I headed up to North Dakota. Our goal was for Trokon and I to complete our pre-marital session at church and for Tony to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma was thrilled that Tony would be there for Halloween! During our session at church on Saturday Grandma took Tony over to NDSU for a Halloween party, there they played many games, ate candy and decorated pumpkins!

After a fun filled day with Grandma they went back to the farm and waited for Mommy to return. We had a wonderful dinner that Grandma made and shared with Mommy all the fun activities that took place. That evening after supper Grandpa, Grandma, Mommy and Tony got ready to go trick-or-treating!! Tony was a fireman this year.

Tony did a wonderful job of going door to door collecting candy. He thought that it was pretty cool that people that were dressed up funny were just handing out his favorite treats!

We wished Daddy could've been with us this fun evening, but he had to go back home to work. Can't wait to see what we will be next year!!!

It's the little things...

Now that Trokon is working from 6pm until 2 am we never get to see each other. This bums me out, it makes me miss the cuddling at night, having supper as a family, talking about our day, and watching a movie. I know him having a job is very important for the family, so I can't complain. But, it sure makes me enjoy the time he comes home in the middle of the night. These have become my favorite moments. I look forward to 3:30 am when he crawls into bed and wraps his arms around me. He then with enthusiasm to be home, and me half asleep barely awake, asks me about my day and his day and what Tony and I had for supper (usually he finds this out, because I always leave him a plate in the microwave). I treasure the days he has off and I soak in the moments we have together. Today I'm driving during my lunch break, just to say hi and get my bear hug.

"Oh Car"

Dear Blog,

Not much going on here. Planning on our trip up to North Dakota this Friday, Oct. 30th for Trokon and I to have our premarital session with the pastor at the church and also to celebrate Halloween with grandma!
Trokon came home really sick last night, fever, chills, stuffed up nose. Pretty sure he caught my bug. I hope he starts feeling better. Working two jobs and going to school may be to much for him, although, he would disagree with me. Hopefully this cold will pass so we can enjoy the weekend.
Tony has a few new things that I've noticed him doing lately. He loves cars, actually so much that now every morning when we head to my car to leave for school, he has to hug the car his response "oh Car!!" and hugs it. Crazy I know, but it's his current love and it's kinda cute! I just hope when it gets really cold outside his face doesn't stick to the car kinda like if you lick a iced pole. (side note: maybe I should carry my camera for that Kodak moment!!)
Tony has a couple new sayings a well. In the mornings since Trokon is working over nights Tony and I tend to get ready in the bathroom together. I have heard him say a few times now "Here this is yours" or "that's gross!" I love when these new phrases come out of him, they tend to always make me laugh, and he thinks that's pretty cool!

Safe Place to Call Home

What seriously became of these 4am fire drills? Anthony and I sat on the stairs in the main lobby of our apartment this early morning talking about fire men. He thought it was pretty cool that for one he was up, and two that real police officers and fire men were talking to him. I told him to take notes since he will "become" a fire man for Halloween. He said "yup, mommy I will" I repeated myself about 15 times saying "you know your going back to bed when this is all done" his reply "nooooo no bed no" Mommy replied "there are no choices in this discussion, you will go back to bed you have school soon". After about a good 20 Min's of a wonderful early morning learning experience I put Tony back in his bed. I too crawled back, loving my bed more than ever, and having the gratitude that I would get at least 2 more hours of sleep. I heard a few times "MOMMY!!" come from the other room, with a quick reply back to him "GO TO SLEEP!!" not another peep was made.
I can't be upset for the fire drill...if it was an actual drill..none the less it still took place. I am grateful for the men and women who come and reassure the minds of parents and individuals that our home is still a safe place.

Can you hear that...

Well today was another uneventful day. I can honestly say staying in the house this whole weekend was completely wonderful. It was a nice refresher. My friends and family might think i'm crazy because Tony and I just spent a week locked up in the house being sick. There is something different when people are laughing, cooking and enjoying each others company. I made home made stroganoff and bars...my motherly instinct once again appears!
Winter is slowly approaching us. Sitting out on the balcony tonight isn't quite as comforting as maybe three weeks ago would have been. I must say the painters did a wonderful job painting. Unfortunately we won't get to enjoy it much come next summer. Trokon and my hopes are to be in a town home or home in May 2010.
Green leaves still hanging onto the trees that surround the neighborhood. The smaller trees in the parking lot have changed to the rich golden color. You don't hear people making there conversation outside, or kids running around. Everything is silent. Everything is peaceful. Everyone and everything is beginning another climb into winter and another new joy when spring once again endures us with warmth.

Tears

Today was one of those days that we just hung around the house doing a whole lot of nothing. I felt like we haven't done this in such a long time, and were probably way over due! Tony has been doing an odd behavior that both Trokon and I can't quite figure out. This ONLY happens when i'm around Tony. If we ask him not to do something, or stop doing something or whatever it may be...saying no to the third cup of juice, not giving a cookie after he refused to eat supper he begins to just sob like he's getting into a lot of trouble. As a mother I feel guilty for him feeling like this. I feel as if he doesn't understand when I clearly know he knows what he's doing. Trokon, and other family members have told me that he doesn't act this way at all when i'm not around. He acts like an angel...like a whole different kid...listens, and does what he is asked to do. I know i've spoiled and continually spoiling him, but he's my son and thats what mothers do, right? Recently I've tried to stop my "spoiling" ways and tried to explain to him whats right and whats wrong....I feel as if this will be a long road of recovery...and the process begins.

School Days

Trokon is in school and doing GREAT! I love the fact that he has decided to return, that he shows no fear, but has great enthusiasm for what he wants to accomplish. He makes me so proud! Because he is in school, and I am in school, and we both work and we have two kids things can become a little hectic..ok, ok...ALOT hectic!! But this is my life, and I wouldn't change it for anything :)...

Last night, Anthony gave me another proud mother moment. Trokon and I needed to do some work at school, but we were worried that Tony would refuse to sit still for a good hour or two. After searching through the school for an empty classroom we wound up unsuccessful to find anything. We were worried that Tony would want to try and help other students with their work, causing us to accomplish nothing. I decided to bring my laptop with the utmost popular movie "Cars"(A HUGE thank you to his grandma for allowing us to borrow it!). After plugging it in Tony decided to look around at the other students in the Learning Center room he decided that he wanted to be like them, He gave me a huge smile and a CARS!!! response after i set him up at the desk with my laptop.(he thought it was pretty neat that he was like everyone else) We didn't hear one peep from him the whole time. People were amazed at how quiet he was and how grown up he acted. GROWN UP!!! No!!! he's my BABY! I suppose soon I will need to drop the "baby" nickname that I have had for him since day 1 and update it to the your such a "big boy"! Even though he is a big boy now, he will always be my baby, I was so proud of my big boy last night.

To New Beginings...

Today will mark the first day that I start this blog. My hopes for this blog are to keep up with the daily activities and accomplishments that goes on in the life of my family. There is too much to catch up on regarding Tony so the story will begin as of today....As they say, the rest is history! Enjoy and feel free to comment :)

Anthony is currently 2 years and 9 months. His favorite activity would be watching the movie "Cars" and asking mommy for "ik cream or pop sickoos". He is a HUGE car fan, previously everything had to be about Sponge Bob, but as he has gotten older he has moved onto cars (complete boy!).

We have been working on potty training. I would rather not push this on him, but let him take it at his own course. I'm not really sure what age he should be potty trained completely, but my main focus and concern is for him to have a positive experience. M&M's have become the new "treat" when he does go! Also, his new saying is "I did it!"

Last week Tony came down with the H1N1 influenza. We spent a whole week locked up in the house together. By the end of the week we were about ready to drive each other crazy!! Thank goodness Grandma and Grandpa came down for a short visit. Tony had fun shopping with Grandma on Saturday. The two of them picked out a Halloween costume after a hard decision on what to be, we decided that Tony will be a Fireman!

Saturday afternoon Tony headed over to a play date while my parents and I enjoyed an afternoon of the Titanic Exhibit over at the Science Museum in St. Paul, MN.

Trokon stayed home to sleep, due to having to work that evening overnight.
